Chapter Six

“OK, so where were we?” she asked. “Oh, yes, you were about to tell me the other players in Las Garras back in Houston.”

He stared at her, knowing if he gave her the answers to her questions, he’d probably be a dead man. But as it was, he was probably dead anyway. The Machetes must know by now the feds had him. He didn’t care anymore about Las Garras, because the danger from them paled in comparison to what The Machetes would do to him if he ratted any of them out. A fleeting vision of a baseball bat flashed across his mind, and he shuddered.

“OK, lady, but I get to pick what you take off next, because what I’m going to tell you is worth it. I want you to take off your blouse next.”

“I’ll take it off, if what you tell me is worth it,” she said. She moved her fingers up to the third button and raised her eyebrows in expectation. “I’m waiting.”

Matalón proceeded to tell her about five people he considered his inner circle. For each name, she unbuttoned one button. By the time he finished, his mouth was dry and his eyes were staring at her opened blouse. She stood and tugged the tails of her blouse out from her slacks, put her hands inside the blouse and then put them on her hips, posing for him. She wore a powder blue bra, and as she shook the blouse off her shoulders, he could see her dark nipples through the sheer fabric. She stared down at him, and noticed the bulge in his pants had gotten bigger. She felt tingling between her legs grow, and the cool air of the interrogation room was making her nipples stiffen.

“Nice, Agent Hardin, very nice,” he said. He smiled and she felt the butterflies flutter inside. This man is so fucking hot, Meredith, but you’ve got to keep your wits about you.

“I’m glad you approve, Mano.” She smiled at him, this time with a twinge of seduction in her eyes. “Thank you for the information. There’s only three or four more questions I have for you.”

“Chica, you don’t have so many clothes left. You better ask good questions.” Meredith picked up her blouse and slid it back on without buttoning it.

“I told you if you jerked me around, the clothes went back on,” she said. “Do I have your complete attention?”

“Shit yes, lady,” he cried. “C’mon, I was messin’ around!” Meredith stared at him, and her eyes told him he better not do it again. At least if he wanted to see more of special agent Meredith.

She slid the blouse back down her arms and rested it around her waist before taking it off again. She sat back down in front of him again, took out her notebook, touched the pencil to her tongue and stared at him for a moment.

“OK, mi Mano,” she teased. She sucked the tip of the pencil into her mouth, traced her tongue around it, and then slid it in and out of her puckered lips.
